Examination in Public
The timing of an Examination in Public will very much depend upon how things progress given the options open to the JPC as noted earlier in this timeline.
The Examination in Public is a formal process carried out by a Government Inspector, who will be examining the Core Strategy to see that it passes the test of soundness.
The people allowed to contribute at this stage are only those invited by the Inspector
and it is unlikely that anyone would be invited to contribute who had not made significant
inputs during the 6-
The Core Strategy as used in the Inspection in Public is UNCHANGED from the one that was the subject of the public consultation. The Inspector will also have available all of the comments and submissions made during the consultation.
It is not the Inspector’s job to determine if the plan is the best solution, only that the plan as submitted is sound.
